Busy February

So far this month has been a busy month for our family, experiencing many things for the first time.
1. Jury Duty- Karen had jury duty at the beginning of the month. She was one of the 20 chosen to sit on the panel and enjoyed answering the questions of the prosecuting and defense attorneys. The defense kicked her off, probably because she felt a person should be held accountable for their illegal activities if they were drunk, even if intoxication wasn't the charge.
2. Madelyn's first ear infection. Madelyn is finally on the mend. The new medication is much more effective and much easier to get in her. She is sleeping better, especially for naps during the day. It is very interesting that now her ears are clearing up she is saying a lot more consonants. Da da da da has been her sound of the day. Jason might be the winner of being named first.
3.Argentina-Jason is currently in Argentina. Although he has traveled to Jamaica and Costa Rica, this is his longest international trip, and first for business. He will be presenting at the University in Argentina and touring different agricultural businesses and areas. So far the food and weather are great. Hopefully he will most more soon. Madelyn and Karen will be very excited to get him back after this 10 day adventure.

4. Baptism- Jackson was baptized this past weekend. We had a great time as a family and celebrate the commitment to raising him up in the faith. Praise the Lord. Karen's parents were able to come to Iowa to celebrate.
