I should be going to bed now, but am taking this quiet time to catch up on blogging. A couple of weeks ago we spent 5 days in the Ozarks celebrating Jason's parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Despite many things that could have spoiled the fun of the week (losing acres of farmland to flood waters, water in the basement, contacts being lost in the pool, sore backs, a bee sting, colds, allergic reactions, and sleepless nights to name a few things), we had a great time.
Jaren's self-application of sunscreen.

We enjoyed floating in the lake.

Madelyn went on her first boat ride, and likely her last for a while.
When we ask Maddy how she liked the boat she answers, "Loud!"

We spent a lot of time at the pool.
Madelyn enjoyed jumping off the side, as long as we didn't let her head go under.

Swimming -"
I do it.
I do it."

Heading to the pool

Playtime with cousin Erica

Hang out time with Grandpa and cousins
Game time

It was much too hot to have Callie outside, so she spent most of her time sleeping, eating, or chillin' in the exasuacer; although she did enjoy an evening splash in the pool.

Extra time snuggling with Daddy

What great pictures to bring back all those special memories of time spent together at the Ozarks! We loved every minute of it (well, except for my bee sting, but better me than one of the little ones!)
