Icing Round #2... Second Blog Update
It is a good thing that typing and looking at pictures is a good distraction for the tingling sensation of frostbite setting in.
I found a couple more Halloween pictures of the girls. With or without costumes, this scene is common in our household. The small step by our fireplace serves as the perfect platform for a show. The girls are frequently singing and dancing up there. I love how Callie has learned from big sister how to "perform" and is now putting on her own shows. Duets are their specialty.
Callie has also hit the terrible twos (a couple months early). She is becoming the queen of temper tantrums. Picture taking has become a tantrum instigator causing her to hurl herself prostrate on the floor. At least we can see her cute little lady bug wings.
This year for Thanksgiving we traveled to Michigan to spend time with my family. It was wonderful to have all of us together. The house was crazy with six kids 4 and under, but they played well together. We actually had some time for adult conversation, ping pong, and games without having to scream over kids or crying babies. On Thanksgiving Day we traveled north of Grand Rapids to Falmouth to enjoy Thanksgiving with the my mom's side of the family.
The aforementioned boot made the trip to Michigan. The only nice things was that I could pack half as many shoes as only the right shoe in the pair made the trip.
| The girls are not the only ones who struggle to refrain from laughing at goofy photographers. |
We were thankful to be able to spend time with Grandma again this year. Her health as not been as good these last six months, so we are even more grateful for the time we get to visit with her. Time is alwasy too short.
