ThanksMas

Since both of my posterior tibial tendons are fighting tendonitis, I get to spend the next 20 minutes with both feet in an ice bucket. Thankfully only my left foot continues to be in the boot. I am trying to avoid getting a matching pair.  Thinking about the good times my family had together over Thanksgiving will hopefully bring some Christmas warmth that my lower appendages are not currently experiencing.

We are not traveling to Michigan over Christmas, so we celebrated Christmas with the Netz family on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The kids were quite excited. 

Thanksgiving evening we were together and the kids were getting ready to open their stockings.  They were told to sit nicely for a picture in order to get their stockings.  This is the only time all weekend all 6 kids were sitting at the same time.

The glasses in Callie's stockings were a hit.



 On Friday we were together as a family again. After waiting all day and making it through a delicious Christmas meal (thanks Mom!)  The kids were anxiously awaiting the time when they could open presents.



Someone uttered the word presents, which instantly sent all 6 kids into a hilarious display of  excitement.  Screaming, jumping twirling, and clapping in a chorus of joy.



The little princesses loved their new costumes.  Ours continue to be in daily usage.

 Our kids spent nearly all of Thursday- Saturday together.  They played amazingly well together, requiring very little referring their activities.   A favorite way to wake up was to snuggle in Grandma and Grandpa's bed to watch some cartoons.

 Our traditional Saturday morning breakfast of blueberry buttermilk pancakes.

 Dad is the official pancake man.

 The kids also enjoyed time outside with Grandma and Grandpa. 

We are thankful that our families enjoy spending time together; eating, laughing and making memories.
