Costa Rica: Resort-Days 4-7
We took an in country flight from San Jose to Tamarindo, which was surprisingly smooth considering we were going over the mountains and it was a short flight. The skies were clear and we flew low enough to enjoy the diverse agricultural landscape as well as see the crater of one of the 8 active volcanoes in Costa Rica.

Our resort was the only resort/hotel in Tamarindo that had ocean front property. There are no private beaches in Costa Rica, so even the beach by our hotel was open to anyone. Hotel Tamarindo Diria is a huge place, but our room was perfectly located by the beach, restuarants, pools, and well...anything we needed, but not too close that we were bothered by noise or people.

| It is the dry season in Costa Rica right now, so many of the trees drop their leaves, similar to our autumn. The lawn and gardens were constantly manicured so we rarely saw even a leaf on the lawn. |

During low-tide we explored the rock croppings that bordered the beach by our hotel. I enjoyed watching them disappear then reappear throughout the day depending on the tides.
