We had a wonderful time celebrating Madelyn's 1st birthday with family this past Saturday. My parents were also here from Michigan to add to the excitement. Madelyn also enjoyed time with all of her De Bruin cousins. Jaren does such a nice job with her.
Poor Joshua was oblivious that he was about to get his hat snapped.
Madelyn had little patience to actually open her own gifts, but did enjoy playing with them. She had to enlist some help from Joshua to investigate all the new things.
We tried to get a nice picture of her smiling, but she was too distracted and on the go.
She is investigating the cake and cupcakes for her guest. She snuck a finger full of frosting from a few of the cupcakes.
She definitely enjoyed her cake! It took two tubs of bath water to get her clean.
