Moving Part 2

We closed on our new home in Macomb, IL on September 25. The van arrived shortly after the papers were signed.

We met the previous owners, who were kind enough to give us welcome balloons. They had been in this house for 26 years. Now time to find new homes for all of this stuff!

Jason Mom, Gloria, was happy to drive down with us Friday and help us unpack. The house was nearly spotless, so it was great to be able to jump right in and unpack. We attacked the kitchen first.
This is the mountain of paper from the boxes we unloaded. All of the paper was used for kitchen items! We still had the rest of the house to unpack.

Gloria and I drove back to Iowa yet that Friday night late, leaving Jason to continue emptying boxes. His next project was the garage. I coached a v-ball tourney on Saturday, then drove back again late that night to help organize the new place.
