The girls and I went to Pella, for Tulip Time and the celebration of the retirement of Mr. Zwiers, our high school band instructor and Mr. Zondervan, who is my uncle and was one of our high school mathematics teacher. The weather was beautiful, but the Tulips were finished which was expected but disappointing.
It was fun to hang out with both of my siblings and their families at different points in the weekend. On Thursday night, all of us were at Dawn and Andy's for dinner. The kids found the bunk beds to be an excellent source of silliness.

On Friday, the girls and I went to visit Lonita, Jason's sister, and their new son, Nicholas. Of course I forgot to take any pictures while we were there. Maddy LOVES to hold babies so she had a great day playing with Joshua and snuggling with her newest cousin.
Saturday was a busy day, but we made it to the parade with Farm Grandma (Jason's mom) and my sister's family. During the parade it was really hot and sunny, so the umbrellas we took for forecasted rain worked well in creating shade.

We also managed to make to the Friday evening and Saturday evening parades. Saturday evening we caught up with Brian and his family at the parade. Their girls helped clean the streets before the parade. |
