It has been a busy week, but very enjoyable.
Tuesday evening friends from church gathered for a baby shower for Madelyn. Val and Heather organized it. Thanks ladies :)
Madelyn fussed all the way to the shower, but did great once we arrived. There were over 20 people there, so she was passed around a lot.
Wednesday was the first day we tried the swing. She was bright eyed, but it only lasted about 2 minutes. We'll try again later.
Thursday night we wore her out as we went to our first softball game. She loves to be outdoors. (no picture...) She slept from 11:00-3:00, 4:00-6:30! We may have to go to more games.
Friday- Grandma De Bruin came for the day to visit. Madelyn slept almost all day, probably recovering from her Thursday outing.
In the afternoon she took a nap outside in her stroller while I mowed the yard. She likes to peak out of one eye as she falls asleep. Last night we enjoyed watching the 5k and 10k runs in downtown Ames. Jason ran this race two years ago and we enjoyed watching the 10k winners finish with under 5 minute miles. Crazy fast. Madelyn took it all in and slept great again last night...and is now down for another nap.

since you have to have another softball experience...you should come to the state tournament on Wednesday! We play at 5:o] You weren't at the DMC game on Thursday were you? I didn't see you there...anyway, glad Madelyn is sleeping well for you...I enjoyed her sleeping in my arms!!
