Variety-Part 2

Thankfully Madelyn started feeling better on Wednesday because Jackson came to stay with us for the rest of the week while Dawn and Andy had some fun in Mexico. In preparation for Jackson's arrival, we knew that one of the few things he will eat is bananas. Madelyn decided to check them out. Madelyn was at first a little annoyed that this kid was playing in her living room with her stuff. She would give him this dirty look, then look at me like "Mom...what's he doing. Make him go away." But it didn't take too long for Madelyn to become Jackson's little shadow.
Jackson is very good at buckling things together. He was attempting to get the belt tied around him.

Trying to keep up with Jackson wore Madelyn right out. She was so tired (and stubborn) for her nap that she fell asleep sitting up. Hopefully she'll learn the art of relaxation someday...maybe not because her father is still working on that one too.
The weather was fabulous so we enjoyed wagon rides. Jackson was trying to tell Madelyn to look at me for the picture.

He also wanted his turn to pull the wagon. The 21 pound weight in the back wasn't helping him get very far.

They were sad to come inside, but were content to stand by the door and smash their faces into the glass.

Jackson enjoyed buckling up the high chair as long as he wasn't in it.

When he was in it, more food ended up on the floor than in his mouth. The little puppy named Maddy tried to clean it all up. If she was quick enough she could steal it off his tray before he could get it to the floor.

We wound down the evening by reading books. Both of course wanted to sit on my lap.
We had a great week together.
