Water, Flowers and a Bike

WATER:

We've had some very hot and humid temperatures already this summer. The girls have spent quite a bit of time with their water table. On this particular day Callie found the slide more exciting than the water table. She has learned to climb up by herself and just this week learned to get her feet in front of her, but still waits at the top until someone will hold her hand to go down.

We even got the sprinkler out

FLOWERS:

I had two big "helpers" to plant my flowers this year. Madelyn was entertained for hours moving soil from one pot to the other and scooping it off the ground.

She also took great pride in showing Callie how to take soil out and throw it on the ground. Callie was very possessive of this pack of flowers.

Obviously it took me much longer this year to actually get flowers into the pots, but I am happy with the final results.

We gave Maddy her birthday present early so that she could get the most use out of it this summer. Every time Jason goes for a bike ride, Maddy says "I want to ride a bike with daddy! I want to go with Daddy!" So we gave her a "big girl" bike. It took a few weeks for her to learn to pedal as she has never had a pedalling toy, but now she is gaining speed and control. Any slight incline or bump brings her to a near stop, so she has some work to do before she's ready for a ride with Jason.
