Happy New Year!

I just had a chance to sit down and read the last blog entry. Much has happened in the last 10 days since that last post.

1. Madelyn celebrated her first Christmas day in Michigan with my parents and my siblings. We endured a 12 hr trip due to Chicago delays and poor road conditions. Madelyn did awesome in the car!

2. Jason is recovering nicely after his surgery and has resumed responsibilities at work and home.

3. I've enjoyed a break from school and enjoyed all the Christmas baking and preparations.

4. Madelyn is now a rolling queen in 3 out of the 4 directions (she still resists rolling over her left shoulder from her back). She made it all the way from the living room to the kitchen!

5. Jackson is officially part of the family. His adoption was finalized the Tuesday before Christmas! What a wonderful Christmas present! Praise the Lord!

It's amazing what a few months will do. Here's Madelyn (6 months) and Allory (5 months) now.

My family learned how to work the Wii! Brian and Dawn are groovin'We also spent some serious time singing Christmas carols.

The cousins started bonding and seemed to enjoy each other. Jackson (13 months) loved to give us all hugs.
My parents spent as much time as they could with the grand kids.

Grandma Netz helped Madelyn ride her first pony...it even made real "clip clop" noises.

On Saturday we spent time with Grandma De Kam in Falmouth and enjoyed fellowships with many of the De Kam aunts, uncles, and cousins...and their kids. It was great!

Madelyn enjoyed time being goofy with her aunt and uncles...

I enjoyed cuddling with my nieces and nephews...
and opening gifts...

We even squeezed in time for a family picture with all 11 of us.
