Madelyn had several "firsts" during this weekend. 1) She stayed up until midnight with everyone else 2) She had her first slumber party with grandma and her cousins, and can proudly say she was the last one asleep. Jason's mom was brave enough to be in charge of the grand kids for the previously mentioned slumber party in our living room. I was surprised that Madelyn actually fell asleep and slept all night in her sleeping bag. She is growing up too quickly!
New Years morning Grandma read a story about the significance of the candy cane. Each child also received a very special gift made by Grandpa and Grandma.
Grandma also made special ice cream cone ornaments for each grandchild.
Callie didn't quite make it out of her jammies after a restless night of sleep, but the bow spruces her up a bit. She is starting to point out things and people around her and in books.
Another first for Maddy is that she was able to participate in her first "Minute To Win It" competition. She had to wiggle and jump around to get the bells out of the box. Her "shake your Booty" method worked quite well.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a fabulous start to your new year!
