Egress window
Cut a hole in the block foundation and frame it in with treated lumber. Thanks to Dad for putting that window in. He is just more picking that what I am. This way the window will open
The window works! This was labor day weekend - we have a long way to go
Had to reconfigure the plumbing. Previous owners decided to run the plumbing for the shower, sink and washing machine above ground and drain them into a floor drain. Needless to say - that is not a good idea and water backs up. We hired a plumber and they got it all figured out for shower, stool, sink, wasking machine, and laundry sink. Plumber -- that is a good investment! Things just need to flow the right way:)
Had to get 16 bags of quickcrete and a cement mixer to fill in over the groundwork. Recruited Jonathan Bentz to throw some "mud". This guy has two masters and a Phd but he can sure trowel concrete. I poured this cement for less than 150 bucks. Some contractor gave me a bid for $800 - early learning lesson in remodeling: knowing when to do the work yourself and when you are just getting screwed!
