Kurtis came up and got me started with framing. We toe-nailed all of these by hand. It was a slow process and it was the realization that this was going to take a while.
The problem with basement floors is that they are not level. We used some self-leveling floor adhesive to level the bathroom floor along with the floor for the washer and dryer. This is how Karen and I spend our Friday nights! Date night in the basement
Lets of framing by now and all the electrial is run. Thanks to the Master Electrician Clint Hertz for drawing the plan, getting me started, and wriring all the 3-way switches. Hopefully it does not burn the place down
Well we passed rough-in and electrical inspection so it was time for sheet rock. My family headed up to Ames and spent a snowy weekend helping cover the walls. They got us started but then it took a another four weeks to finish up. Thanks to Joe and Palle and then to Brux and K. Roze for the help as well. One saturday night at about 10:30 Karen and I hung the last piece and cleaned up -- it was time to find a mudder!
