Heading home

Today Madelyn arrived at home. Karen and Madelyn were discharged from the hospital around 12:00 and so we put her in the car seat for the 4 blocks from the hospital to our house -- she didn't cry a bit during the whole ride:)

She is kind of small in her car seat. Good thing we go the extra head piece to keep her head from flopping around.

I call her E.T becasue of the ultraviolet light wrap that she is wearing to try and take care of the jaundice. Her numbers were close to where she would not have to do anything so we are hoping that at her checkup tomorrow that her number will have improved enough that we don't have to have the light. Until then she gets teh UV belt. Groovy.

I have been working at building a changing table/dresser for Madelyn. A good friend, Clint Hertz, was kind enough to guide me through the building process and let me use all of his wood working tools. He had made one for his daughter so he had the process down. We started on this in March and we put the last coat of varnish and knobs on today. So we made it just in time. The flowers on top of the table are from visitors that stopped by at the hospital.
